Mission

RAGT Seeds, a leader in the production and marketing of field crop seeds, is recruiting a Market and Portfolio Manager f/m for a 15-month fixed-term replacement contract, ideally based at its head office in Rodez.

Your mission:

You will be the strategic pilot and expert for your portfolio of products (soybeans, protein peas, and field beans) and solutions internationally. You will manage the entire product life cycle and liaise between the Research, Development, Operations, and Sales teams. Reporting to the Crop Leader Vegetables, Pulses and Soya, you will develop the portfolio's performance and contribute to profitability through strategic positioning, value creation and close collaboration between territories.


- Participate in defining and implementing a medium and long-term product strategy based on analysis of market trends, competitive dynamics, and the needs of farmers and industry
- Manage the product and solutions portfolio throughout its life cycle in close collaboration with the Development, Operations, and Local Marketing teams
- Define the positioning of products and solutions, in close collaboration with the Marketing and Communications department, value propositions and key selling points for each offering
- Support licensing in and out activities to maximize portfolio value and strengthen market presence
- Define trials requirements for the Development team to ensure perfect alignment with marketing objectives
- Offer training on products and solutions to the territories - Develop and maintain sales support tools in partnership with the Marketing and Communications department
- Represent the company and the portfolio internationally, both externally at events and activities and internally by promoting collaboration, knowledge sharing, and harmonization between all regions and functions

Profile

- High degree in agriculture/agribusiness with a specialization in agronomy or plant biology
- Advanced experience in the seed sector, with proven dual expertise in marketing/product management and technical/agronomic functions
- Agronomic knowledge (crops) and ideally in protein crops
- English essential and French desirable
- Seasonal international travel
- Analytical and synthesis skills + ability to collect, interpret, and translate data and information + interpersonal and communication skills + ability to manage projects and multidisciplinary teams across departments + team spirit + proactivity
