We are an international seed company specializing in R&D, production, industrial processing, and commercial business across more than 40 species on five continents.
Missions :
The Global Marketing Director is responsible for developing and executing the company’s global marketing strategy, with a focus on value creation. This executive role leads a multidisciplinary team including, Crop Leaders, Communication & Marketing, Digital, and Product & Solution Development ensuring alignment with business objectives and profitable growth across all species and markets. This position will be part of the executive committee of the seed division.
Key Responsibilities :
- Develop and implement the global marketing strategy to drive value creation, brand positioning, and profitable growth across all species and regions
- Lead, coach, and coordinate a team of Crop Leaders (responsible for species profitability), as well as the marketing & communication and product development teams
- Oversee the coordination of product knowledge and expertise across all teams, ensuring best practices and innovation sharing.
- Define and monitor KPIs for marketing, product launches, and value creation initiatives.
- Ensure effective collaboration with R&D, Production, Sales, and Supply Chain to align marketing and product strategies with business needs
- Drive digital transformation and the adoption of new marketing technologies and tools
- Oversee the development and execution of global communication and digital marketing campaigns.
- Lead the go-to-market strategy for new products and solutions, ensuring successful launches and market adoption (Licencing, brands etc)
- Manage the marketing budget, ensuring optimal resource allocation and ROI.
- Analyze market trends, customer needs, and competitive landscape to identify growth opportunities and adapt strategies accordingly fed by market insight coming from local organizations.
- Represent the Marketing function at the Executive Committee (EXCO) and contribute to overall company strategy.
Profile
- Minimum 10 years of experience in an international seed company, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership position in business or Marketing with an in-depth understanding of research activities.
- Demonstrated experience leading large, multidisciplinary teams and managing complex projects.
- Strong strategic thinking, analytical, and decision-making skills.
- Proven track record in value creation and product launch management.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and stakeholder management abilities.
- Fluent in English; proficiency in other languages is a plus.
